Contemporary residential design on a tricky site wins Development of the Year at the British Homes Awards 2023

This unique site, steeply sloping and surrounded by woodland, provided many obstacles to development – now provides a gateway to the forest with nine contemporary apartments.

Through careful contextual design and an enlightened and committed client, we were able to deliver this development through planning and construction – and its now being recognised for its results, this time as the Development of the Year (up to 20 homes) at the British Homes Awards 2023.

The judges described the project as “Simply stunning architecture. Beautiful design, material selection and layouts. The design has been considered throughout creating an exceptional piece of architectural design.”

Congratulations to the team in the design and delivery of this great residential project in Tunbridge Wells – a difficult site that has proved very enriching in resolving all its complexities.
