Delivering a multi-unit development on a steeply sloping site

On the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, OB Architecture utilised a tiered massing to address the challenging site and its sloping topography.

Our founding director, Olly Bray, notes that “by excavating at ground level and creating tiered levels…the building has less of a bearing on the outlook, but still creates a strong visual impression.”

Having obtained planning permission with Silverleaf Group, we worked closely with the delivery team at Reigate Land and Whitgift Estates to bring the design to reality.
